WA still not free to shop

Shopping on the weekend is a concept that hasn’t caught on yet in Western Australia. Perth’s state government still believes it is in the ‘public interest’ to dictate when people can shop. The rationale is that if shops were open every day, small business would go bust and families wouldn’t be able to spend enough time together. Fast Friday Fact

I am currently writing a report on price drivers (or things that make our lives more expensive) in Australia with Oliver Marc Hartwich. Found this interesting: According to the 2011 Demographia Housing Report, only one other city  was found to be more unaffordable than Sydney, and that was land-scarce Hong Kong.
