Shopping on the weekend is a concept that hasn’t caught on yet in Western Australia. Perth’s state government still believes it is in the ‘public interest’ to dictate when people can shop. I am currently writing a report on price drivers (or things that make our lives more expensive) in Australia with Oliver Marc Hartwich. Found this interesting: According to the 2011 Demographia Housing Report, only one other city was found to be more unaffordable than Sydney, and that was land-scarce Hong Kong.
